When the forecast calls for next-level thrills, gather your whole crew — and your courage — for Hurricane HunterSM, the first family raft slide at sea. Between all the shrieks and laughter, there’s a massive drop when you least expect it. Our world-class dining experience brings the flavors and food of our destinations right onto your plate.
Icon of the Seas activities
It’s a place where you can experience luxury and be part of its rich history. You may be surprised to learn that the Titanic’s voyage tragically lasted only five days before it met its ill-fated end. Despite its short duration, the ship left an indelible mark on history. First and foremost, safety protocols have been strengthened to ensure your peace of mind while embarking on your next adventure at sea. Cruise lines have implemented rigorous training programs for their crew members and invested in state-of-the-art technology to prevent such accidents from happening again.
Icon of the Seas itinerary and pricing
A world of sensory discoveries awaits you at the AquaDomeSM — the most immersive scene at sea. From a towering shapeshifting waterfall that cascades into a dive pool to dining options designed to pique your culinary curiosity. Most of Thrill Island is dominated by the Category 6 water park with six slides.

Specialty Cruises: Ships Tailored for Unique Experiences
It now operates as a museum, event center and unique hotel, allowing visitors to sleep in first-class staterooms. Some claim the ship is haunted, and visitors can take evening ghost tours. May these legendary ships inspire you to navigate life with resilience and grace amidst its unpredictable seas. You’ll be surprised to know that the final destination of the Queen Elizabeth 2’s last voyage before retiring was Dubai.
Another open-to-the-sky neighborhood, the greenery-filled Central Park makes a return on Icon. On Deck 8, it lures adult cruisers to its bars and restaurants for a romantic date night or walk in its onboard park, featuring live trees and plants. New venues here include a grab-n-go window for Izumi's sushi, the intimate and upscale Empire Supper Club, jazz club Lou's Jazz 'n Blues and the walk-up Champagne venue, Bubbles. Icon of the Seas is 20 decks high (with 18 passenger decks) and 1,198 feet long and measures 250,800 gross tons. It can carry 5,610 passengers at double occupancy (two passengers per cabin) or up to 7,600 passengers at maximum occupancy, plus 2,350 crew members.
Perfect day the western way
Look for teen-only takeovers of the water park and Hideaway Pool, VIP seating for select shows, group dinners at Izumi and exclusive laser tag play. The Adventure Ocean kids club and Social 020 teen lounge, both on Deck 6, are the it spaces for the under-18 crowd. Its claim to fame is that the course takes you around the ship's giant logo, out over the ocean, with a zip line finish. However, there's not much else to the attraction; it's possibly the shortest ropes course we've ever traversed. Crown's Edge offers a fun thrill, but I don't think it's worth paying $89 per person for one run of the course. Suite guests will find bars exclusive to them in the Coastal Kitchen restaurant and the Grove sun deck.
Some options might include the classic Main Dining Room, where you can enjoy multicourse meals, or a more casual venue like the Windjammer marketplace with its buffet-style offerings. While cruising on Icon of the Seas, you’ll have the pleasure of indulging in a variety of complimentary dining options. Create even bolder memories on their game-changing private island, Perfect Day at CocoCay, where you can take on the tallest waterslide in North America.
The Attic is the ship's comedy club, located on the Royal Promenade on Deck 6 forward. You'll definitely want to show up early to get a seat for these popular shows. On the opposite side of the Royal Promenade on Deck 5 aft is the Absolute Zero ice rink.

The fleet’s newest ship, Wonder of the Seas, made headlines by introducing a suites-only neighborhood complete with a private deck, bar, plunge pool, lounge, and restaurant. Somewhat similar to the Boardwalk neighborhood on Royal Caribbean’s Oasis Class cruise ships, the Surfside neighborhood is located in the ship’s aft and focuses on family fun. Icon of the Seas is the first Icon Class cruise ship, and a new class of ships means Royal Caribbean will bring new activities, amenities, and venues to the table. The biggest thing to ever hit cruising is coming in January 2024, when Royal Caribbean’s Icon of the Seas—which will be the largest cruise ship in the world—will debut to passengers for the first time. The ship has put special emphasis on catering to families with young kids and has created innovative programming for teens.
Plus, each itinerary will feature a visit to Royal Caribbean’s private island, Perfect Day at CocoCay. As you embark on your adventure, you can look forward to visiting the top-rated private island destination offered by Royal Caribbean – Perfect Day at CocoCay, The Bahamas. As the first of its kind, Icon of the Seas serves as a blueprint for future Icon-class ships. Royal Caribbean has plans to introduce two more of these revolutionary vessels in Fall 2025 and Fall 2026.

On Edge-series ships, experience the magic of an Infinite Veranda® stateroom, where the push of a button gives you open-air access to the sea, taking your room right to the water’s edge. The ship's Vitality Spa on Deck 14 offers salon services for men and women, plus all your favorite spa treatments and an extra-fee thermal suite with heated loungers and aromatherapy showers. The fitness center is separate, located on decks 5 and 6 (though the Deck 5 entrance is off the jogging track that loops that deck). Royal Caribbean has long been famous for its vessels, which are marvels of ship-building engineering.
Category 6 is the largest water park at sea, featuring an open free-fall slide, the tallest drop slide at sea, family raft slides that accommodate four riders at once and two mat-racing slides. The Crown's Edge is a ropes course-style attraction based around a giant version of the ship's crown-and-anchor logo. Instead, the cruise line wanted to create an epic family vacation experience that would rival not only other cruise ships, but the best resorts and destinations on land.
Savor delicious cuisine at our main restaurants, where menus are updated daily with global dishes and tried-and-true favorites. Plan a special evening at a specialty restaurant, like Fine Cut Steakhouse, Tuscan Grille, and Le Petit Chef®. Foodies can try signature dishes by Daniel Boulud, our Global Culinary Brand Ambassador, at The Retreat’s private restaurant, Luminae, or enjoy a five-course meal at the Chef’s Table by Daniel Boulud. The Hideaway is another of Royal Caribbean’s new neighborhoods on Icon of the Seas, and it is located in the very aft of the ship. The neighborhood features a multilevel terrace with comfy seating, whirlpools, and a bar, but what really makes it stand out is the Hideaway Pool. Located at the very top of Icon of the Seas is the AquaDome, which features restaurants, retail, bars, lounge spaces, and–most importantly–Royal Caribbean’s next-level AquaTheater.
In December 2018, Carnival announced the revival of the name Mardi Gras for its largest ship built to date, set to launch in 2020. Often called the "Big U," the ship still holds the westbound speed record for transatlantic passenger service, known as the Blue Riband. That’s what you’ll find on Icon of the SeasSM, a first-of-its-kind Royal Caribbean® adventure for the whole family. Don’t miss out on world class upscale dining that delights the palate and expertly mixed cocktails sure to keep you in high spirits. A Specialty Dining or Deluxe Beverage package can help you enjoy all the sophisticated sips and delicious dishes on deck. Not only can you relax in the pool’s full-size daybeds surrounded by water, but you can party the day away with the neighborhood’s own resident DJ.
Icon of the Seas, a magnificent cruise ship, is set to sail to some breathtaking destinations in the Caribbean. Before setting sail, you might want to explore the local beaches, nightlife, shopping, and dining options that the energetic city of Miami provides. These future ships will only continue to elevate the cruising experience with even more astonishing features and all-new destinations that will truly make your vacation unforgettable. On your journey aboard the Icon of the Seas, you’ll find that this game-changing cruise ship has made significant strides in energy efficiency. A two-story bar and lounge is a must-visit venue, showcasing the best cover bands and their ever-changing setlists that feature a wide range of music genres, including jazz and rock.
